Deathisdefeated

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

I need some help figuring out who is doing what.  I think the pronouns are quite confusing and I'm not sure if it just an English translation problem or if Paul's grammar teacher would have told him to clarify his pronouns.  Please help me out and tell me how you came to your conclusion.  Thanks!

Then comes the end, when He (Christ) will have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when He (Christ or God) will have put down all rule and all authority and power.

For He (Christ) must reign, until He (Christ or God) as put all enemies under His (Christ or God's) feet.

The last enemy that is being destroyed:  death.

For He (Christ or God) has put all things under His (Christ or God's) feet. But when He (Christ or God) says all things are put under Him (Christ or God), it is manifest that He (Christ or God) is exempt, which did put all things under Him (Christ).

And when all things will be subdued to Him (Christ or God), then will the Son also Himself (Christ) be subject to Him (God) that put all things under Him (Christ or God), that God may be all in all.

Jesus said, in John 5:22 'For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son'. Both passages are eschatological statements referring to the covenant judgment of God's old ( first ) covenant people. After this judgment was made, culminating in the destruction of the offending city ( Matthew 22:1-24 ), Jesus was restored to His former glory, and together, They ( John 14:23 ) took up permanent residence in ( the midst of-Luke 17:21 ) His people! :)

Hope that answers your question,

Charles Haddon Shank

For further clarification,

Then comes the end, when Christ will have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when Christ will have put down all rule and all authority and power.

For Christ must reign, until the Father has put all enemies under Christ's feet.

The last enemy that is being destroyed:  death.

For the Father has put all things under Christ's feet. But when the Father says all things are put under Christ, it is manifest that the Father is exempt, which did put all things under Christ.

And when all things will be subdued to Christ , then will the Son also Himself (Christ) be subject to the Father that put all things under Christ , that God may be all in all.

Thanks, Charles.  Can you tell me how you came to this conclusion?  In v. 24 it says that Christ puts down all rule and all authority and power, but in v. 24 & v. 27 it is the Father who has put the enemies down.

Father and Son are One, Erika; I came to this conclusion because that's what Scripture clearly says, but there's also a very clear separation of Father and Son for the Purpose of the redemption of Israel! :)
