Im a believer, no denomination at the moment. My back ground is pentacostal.
Im married and have four wonderful children. I have been a believer my whole life, but I came into the revelation of Gods love and grace nine years ago and have been on a wonderful journey ever since. I have been struggling under a wrong doctrine(futurism-everything is in the future) and have been trying to please a judgmental God all my life, until nine years ago. I am amazed every day how Gods true nature is revealed. And I enjoy my journey so much. That is why Im here, wanting to learn more!
Do you have a favorite theologian ?
At the moment, one of my favorites is Simon Yap.
What is your Eschatological Position ?
Im not sure what to call me, but Im not a futurist any more!
Welcome! That is a wonderful testimony in your short biography. It reminded me of God's favor towards me in showing His utter kindness to our family eight years ago. Our son and those with him were miraculously delivered after he stepped on a pipe bomb in a booby-trapped house in Baghdad. When I first heard the details of this event, I was astounded at how God had minutely answered my particular requests for my son during this time. It emphasized His love for me personally that I could not fail to see. Since that time, I plunged into heavy study of God's word, and the doctrines of preterism soon came to the top. While I personally do not agree with every viewpoint as presented on this forum, I do treasure the overall spirit of a willingness to stand up to beliefs that are only traditions of men. Enjoy your studies here!
