"Hi Brother Les, Your point #1 is a pure contradiction of the Matthew 27:52-53 account.  This story about the resurrected Matt. 27 saints may be an uncomfortable one for you, but it won't go away simply because you don't want to admit…"

"Hi Doug, Since you asked so nicely...  :-) Sure, it's supportable from scripture for the 144,000 to be the Matt. 27:52-53 resurrected saints.  I wouldn't put this forward unless I was absolutely certain from comparing scriptures…"

"About Me"
I am an assistant pastor's wife, who supports his ministry financially by sewing custom drapery full time. After almost 25 years of ripping out seams and redoing, I can lay claim to a wealth of patience and attention to detail, which, incidentally, is vital to studying eschatology! I am a relative rookie in this realm of preterism, having devoted only two intense years to this. My entire education has been at 3 of the most conservative, pre-mil disp. Christian schools in town, so I have had to do a complete examination of virtually everything they taught, and discard most, if not all of it.
Do you have a favorite theologian ?
No
What is your Eschatological Position ?
Fence sitting between full and partial pretism

The 666-YEAR OLD SEA BEAST of Revelation 13

Posted on May 23, 2018 at 10:00pm 4 Comments

I am not going to claim originality for this idea, but will mention that I was first introduced to this concept of a 666-year-old Sea Beast by a single comment made online about this view in Jack Lunsford's book titled "An Overview of the Book of Revelation".  For about a year, I filed this idea away in my mental collection of other odd relics and pieces of trivia related to scripture study.  Then recently, I was prompted to pull it out and give it some serious scriptural consideration.  The…

"IT IS FINISHED" = ENDING THE MILLENNIUM

Posted on November 21, 2014 at 10:30pm 22 Comments

These last words of Christ in John 19:30 - "It is finished" - have been tossed back and forth on this site before in another post as to their exact import.  Traditionally, I too was taught that this was Christ's triumphant announcement from the cross that salvation's work was completed.

There's just one problem with that interpretation, which  some of you have also noted.  Paul declares most emphatically in I Cor. 15:16-17 that if Christ be not raised, our faith is vain…

PAUL - THE "FIRST" SINNER

Posted on September 14, 2014 at 5:31pm 6 Comments

This is a short study pinpointing the ending date of Daniel's 70-week prophecy and the God-sanctioned transfer of the gospel focus toward the Gentiles that followed this 490 years.  This topic has been covered on other posts, but I would like to come at it from a relatively new angle that I haven't encountered elsewhere yet.

It involves a close look at Paul's words in I Timothy 1:15-16 from the Interlinear.  "Faithful is the word, and of all acceptation worthy, that Christ Jesus came…

DISPOSING of DEMONS

Posted on July 18, 2014 at 6:21pm 29 Comments

The "Screwtape Letters" by C.S. Lewis was my earliest teenage introduction to the sinister world of Satan and his henchmen.  All that storytelling skill which C.S. Lewis possessed had me believing this as gospel at that time.  But, with all due respect to the beloved Narnia creator, C.S. Lewis had some screwed up theology with regard to the demonic world.  John Bunyan's "Holy War" was also a great favorite for me back then in the 70's.

Fast forward to the present.  The comments…
