"I’ve asked this before, more than once, and haven’t been given any answer I can accept. What is it that the believer gained in AD70 that they didn’t already have by virtue of the cross? They were justified by the works of Jesus, by His death and resurrection. From that event we walk in the Lord with our “inner” man cleansed."
This seems like a confusing statement to me.First you say " What is it that the believer gained in AD70 that they didn’t already have by virtue of the cross?" but then you go on to say "They were justified by the works of Jesus, by His death and resurrection.
Which was it? At the cross or after the resurrection? Or was it at the ascension? Or was it to be at his appearing a second time per Heb 9:28 so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.
You also said " Our future hope is that our whole man - including our “outer” man - will be changed also, just like Jesus’ was when He rose from the grave! We will be GLORIFIED."
Could you please quote some scriptures where this hope is promised to the Church? Or do you believe that all promises to the OT Israel hasn't been fulfilled? Was their promises transferred to us? If so where?
Thanks Sharon but it seems since your views have changed i have seen you write very little about them and would love to get a better understanding.
Would you say your views are similar to Vince's new hyper-realism views?
