O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
15 And he saith unto me, The…

Heard Greg Laurie on the radio today, and he was answering bible questions. One question asked if this is the only day of salvation. He said yes, and if a sinner doesn't accept Christ now, in this life, then there are no future opportunities. His proof text was Hebrews 9:27
"27And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes…Continue
Scripturally speaking, there is no doubt that we who have entered into Covenant with the Body of Christ ( both the Creator Himself & the Body of His Son ) are 'sons of God' ( Matthew 5:9, Romans 8:14, Galatians 3:26 )! There are those who have not, whether through ignorance or stubborness ( rebelliousness ) entered this Covenant & so cannot & should not be called 'sons of God'. The question before us today is, 'can they or should they be considered children of God,…Continue
8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
The most equitable of the citizens, and such as were the most uneasy at the breach of the laws, they disliked what was done; they also sent to the…Continue

10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.
In 68 CE, there was growing unrest in Jerusalem. Ananus ben Ananus incited the people to rise up against the Zealots, who were robbing the people and using the Temple of Jerusalem…Continue

1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
Ananus, who, as we have told you already, took…Continue

PART THIRD : V. : THE COMING OF CHRIST : AS ANNOUNCED IN Mat.24 : 29-31.
But what is the meaning of the phrase "this generation" and what the interval of time thus designated? The specification is, and must be, at any rate, indefinite; for the tide of human life flows on in an unbroken stream, and no man can mark or tell the point where one generation ends and another begins. Yet modern chronology, with some degree of definiteness, reckons three generations in a century; and…Continue

I'm not very active on this site or any others for that matter due to significant time constraints with my family, farm, and business. But over the course of my slower season this winter I wrote 6 articles on my private Facebook page concerning this topic. My audience was mostly friends from church or school over the years who for the most part have typical evangelical and/or futurist leanings. This is not a scholarly work (though I tried to write it with a quasi-scholarly bent), nor is it…Continue
I know it's been quite awhile since you've heard from me. Some of you may even be wondering, "Who is this guy?" My name is Alan Bondar. I've been a little out of touch for awhile staying focused on church planting down here in Southwest Florida. We set out a little over a year ago with a vision to plant a preterist church that can become a church-planting church. It's a pretty exciting venture with a lot of twists and turns. But we're still at it and, by God's grace,…Continue

In the previous article http://deathisdefeated.ning.com/profiles/blogs/the-problem-of-context-in-the-genealogy-of-genesis-5?xg_source=activity, we established that the flood account was embedded in the Genesis 5 genealogy. That genealogy ended with the last two verses of Genesis 9.
In Genesis 6, the embedded account starts with
1 Now it…
We rarely read things in the Bible in their proper context. Part of this has to do with the chapter and verse divisions. I’d like for everyone to read this extended text from Genesis straight through starting near the end of Genesis 4, all the way to my chosen end.
You will notice, in Genesis 4 that we have the birth of Seth and Enosh. The first two verses of tell us a bit about Adam (the meaning of these two verses is not germane to…
What are most people's thoughts on the possibility that Satan never existed but is better known as "Adversary" or "Accuser"Continue
This is a wonderful and scholarly article identifying resurrection day.
These last words of Christ in John 19:30 - "It is finished" - have been tossed back and forth on this site before in another post as to their exact import. Traditionally, I too was taught that this was Christ's triumphant announcement from the cross that salvation's work was completed.
There's just one problem with that interpretation, which some of you have also noted. Paul declares most emphatically in I Cor. 15:16-17 that if Christ be not raised, our faith is vain…Continue
This is a short study pinpointing the ending date of Daniel's 70-week prophecy and the God-sanctioned transfer of the gospel focus toward the Gentiles that followed this 490 years. This topic has been covered on other posts, but I would like to come at it from a relatively new angle that I haven't encountered elsewhere yet.
It involves a close look at Paul's words in I Timothy 1:15-16 from the Interlinear. "Faithful is the word, and of all acceptation worthy, that Christ Jesus came…Continue

This seems to be an interesting article concerning the on going discussion about Mr.Adam.
One of the questions raised by the evolutionary view of human origins is where, exactly to place Adam and the origin of the human race created in the image of God. Were there pre-Adamic humans? Are or were some “humans” (however we define human…Continue
Young Earth Creationists believe and teach that Humans and Apes from the same ancestors is impossible, yet that Foxes and Dogs from the same ancestors happened over a period of only 400 years or so from the time of Noah's Flood until the time of Abraham and Job.
It is difficult to get a detailed description of the differences between the actual genes in these numerous species. Genes being the feature that evolution "works on" in a well understood and demonstrable manner.…Continue

The "Screwtape Letters" by C.S. Lewis was my earliest teenage introduction to the sinister world of Satan and his henchmen. All that storytelling skill which C.S. Lewis possessed had me believing this as gospel at that time. But, with all due respect to the beloved Narnia creator, C.S. Lewis had some screwed up theology with regard to the demonic world. John Bunyan's "Holy War" was also a great favorite for me back then in the 70's.
Fast forward to the present. The comments…Continue
