I am always amazed at the importance of putting our theology into everyday practice. My life has seen some incredible trials over the past year, but the one thing that keeps me positive is knowing what Kingdom I am living in. This rough draft of a poem I wrote hopefully captures the idea that, because Christ actually finished the work He came to do, we actually can grow through our trials and experience Resurrection Life. These trials are not something to be avoided or escaped from, but the…

I was reading through Preston's new book (which I generally find very impressive) when I noticed something interesting about his take on the beginning of the kingdom of God. He was making the point that Amillennialists think it started in 30 AD and Postmillennialists think it starts in our future. He pointed out that Revelation 11 clearly says that it starts in 70AD (which a number of theologians in both camps accidentally agreed to in unguarded moments):
Rev 11:15 Then the…

Many people assert that if God created everything, then He must have also created evil, too. Is this right? Is God ultimately to blame for all the suffering in the world? In this latest Come Reason podcast series, Lenny takes apart the claim that God must be the creator of evil and shows why such an objection cannot stand.
By Lenny Esposito…

- I am super excited to announce the availability of two brand new books, currently on Kindle, and coming soon in paper form. Here is the announcement of one of the books. You absolutely must have this!
The Amillennialists and Postmillennialists often speak of the “redemptive significance” of AD 70 even admitting that Christ came, the end of the age arrived. They even admit that…

Question for the readers here on DID,
While studying Genesis historically I have put off delving deeper into the Tower of Babel story. However now I'm beginning to see patterns that resonate with other consistent factors we see in Genesis which is prophecy. The more I study the more it is becoming apparent to me that Genesis is an indictment against temple Judaism just as Christianity concludes. I believe the pattern may be represented and drawn from the Jews experience with…

This may seem a stupid question. Maybe it is. I'd still appreciate anyone's thoughts.
If we take a literal approach to Genesis and presuppose that Adam died at 930 years of age, then do we also presuppose that Adam was born an infant, i.e. at age "zero?"
Asked another way, how did Adam die at 930 literal years of age if he was *not* born an infant at age "zero?"

Dear friends and family,
It's entirely possible that you've grown weary of me asking for money. I understand. I've grown weary of asking for money. Not my favorite thing...not even close.
But here's the reality:
Most church planters are able to get the assistance of other churches to support them in their launch for 2-3 years. We don't have that luxury. In addition, when church planters get this support, they…
