O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

Many people assert that if God created everything, then He must have also created evil, too. Is this right? Is God ultimately to blame for all the suffering in the world? In this latest Come Reason podcast series, Lenny takes apart the claim that God must be the creator of evil and shows why such an objection cannot stand.

Well that's a very odd conclusion John that you drawn. I've listened to most of what L. Eposito has said - bar skipping all the boring and annoying anecdotes which preachers insist on inserting into their messages - but as far as I am concerned he certainly has not " take(n) apart the claim that God must be the creator of evil"

Indeed his conclusion confirms that God really has created evil. Although ultimately that evil will be for our own good - but it is still evil.

Euripides,

Thanks for commenting but what I posted was written by Lenny.

I thought it look interesting and wanted to listen but haven't had a chance yet.

I think "Didn't God create evil?" Is a great question and one that I have had trouble dealing with for years.

Lot of crazy stuff was written in the OT that is hard to reconcile with the NT.

IMHO anyhow.

I look forward to listening and seeing if I would agree with you.

Blessings

John

Thanks John

Bear in mind that God Himself says in the pages of the OT that He brings disaster upon people. The NIV renders this as "calamity".

Here's just one example: 2 Samuel 12:11

“This is what the Lord says: ‘Out of your own household I am going to bring calamity on you. Before your very eyes I will take your wives and give them to one who is close to you, and he will sleep with your wives in broad daylight.
